Careers

ABH prides itself in developing a community that is open minded, with a diverse set of backgrounds, ultimately promoting continuous opportunities for collaboration, support, and growth.

In this time of COVID-19, mental health providers are in demand. Prior to the pandemic, our practitioners provided services in person. COVID-19 required we pivot to providing telehealth services. Practitioners interested in joining us may choose to see clients in person, virtually, or both.

LICENSED OR LICENSE-ELIGIBLE PSYCHOLOGIST

Associates in Behavioral Health, PLLC, a local provider-owned group, is seeking full-time and part-time licensed psychologists to join our thriving community. ABH is a well-established and highly-respected community of independent mental health practitioners in the heart of downtown Seattle, comprised of psychologists, psychiatrists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners. We have expertise across diverse treatment approaches and focus areas, but in particular we are well known in the community for our work in sexual and gender minority mental health, health psychology/behavioral medicine, and evidence-based treatment of anxiety, depression, and trauma. Several ABH practitioners hold clinical faculty appointments at the University of Washington.

ABH’s robust associate program offers close mentorship for all aspects of starting a private practice, a steady referral stream, furnished office space, billing services, an in-house multidisciplinary consultation group and didactics series, and a dynamic and fun work environment. Within this welcoming and supportive setting, new associates have the freedom to set their own schedules, build their practices, and specialize in their areas of interest. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates, as well as for more established psychologists wanting to make a career transition, relocate to Seattle, or add a part-time private practice to their existing professional roles.

We welcome inquiries from both psychologists who can strengthen our existing areas of expertise, and from those who can add new competencies and capacities to our professional community. Psychologists eligible for Washington State licensure will be considered, but all must be fully licensed before beginning clinical work. Post-doctoral training is not required for licensure, as long as the psychologist has accumulated 3,000 hours of supervised experience during pre-internship and internship. Please visit our website for general information about Associates in Behavioral Health , and send letters of interest and CVs to our Managing Partner, Tom Semper, MD at abhseattle@gmail.com.
