Dr. D’Jaen is a board certified psychiatrist. She received her M.D. from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois. She completed a General Psychiatry Residency at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California. During this time, she served as the Outpatient Chief Resident, managing the resident and psychology intern outpatient clinic. She completed additional training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction through UCSD Center for Mindfulness and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy through the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis. She has more recently focused her education on reproductive psychiatry, completing trainings through Massachusetts General Hospital and Postpartum Support International.
Her clinical interests and experiences also focus on women’s mental health, particularly surrounding issues of fertility, mood and anxiety disorders occurring in the prenatal, perinatal and postpartum periods. She uses an integrative approach in working with individuals on interpersonal relationships, emotional reactivity and finding fulfillment in one’s personal and professional life.
