As a therapist, I am strengths based and empathetic. I approach therapy from a collaborative standpoint acknowledging that you are the knower of your own situation. I am present oriented and help facilitate working on the problems that you're experiencing in the here and now. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy due to the modality's active approach. I interweave mindfulness interventions to help with learning to remain in the present.

I am a licensed clinical social worker. I obtained my master's degree in social work at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). I have my bachelor's in social work and gender, sexuality, and women's studies. The populations I have primarily worked with are older adults and their families, as well as the LGBTQ community. My experience working with older adults and their families comes by way of working in the nursing home on and off for a decade. I have also worked in community mental health predominately serving the LGBTQ community.
