My focus is on helping people become more comfortable and capable in their own skin; in their lived experiences, their emotions, and their lives. It is not easy living in a world that expects us to follow the rules that it has set for us, and we often aren't given the support and tools we need to manage the complexities of life.

My work is focused on helping clients identify what is causing their distress and finding ways to help them feel stronger in the face of the challenges life has handed them. Sometimes that involves changing their external circumstances and sometimes that involves changing their internal narratives and reactions. Once a sense of inner strength is built, we will work to soften the hard edges that they had to create in order to manage their life. The process and the results look different for every single person.

My style is warm and relational, and creating safety and security within the therapeutic relationship is my priority. While my primary focus has been working with adults with eating disorders, I also enjoy working with people with a variety of concerns and diagnoses.

My work is oriented toward social justice, LGBTQ+ rights, and antiracism.

I have a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology and Art Therapy from Naropa University - a Buddhist inspired school in Boulder, Colorado. It was there that I learned how to weave mindfulness, self-compassion, self-awareness, and embodied presence into the practice of psychotherapy. I completed my internship at the Eating Disorder Center of Denver.

After being a stay at home mom for a few years, I re-entered the workforce as a Primary Therapist and Art Therapist at Opal Food + Body Wisdom in Seattle and have been in private practice since 2021.

Before graduate school, I served in AmeriCorps, worked for HeadStart, and was a therapeutic mentor for children in elementary and middle schools.

Lifelong education on antiracism, social justice, and awareness of my privilege are integral to my work as a therapist.

In addition, my own lived experience of healing through mental health and physical health struggles has been a rich, real-life training ground for me to support others who are suffering.

I am not currently paneled with insurance, but I can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Please contact your insurance company to inquire about out of network benefits for mental health.
