I believe in a collaborative therapeutic relationship, meaning that we work together to identify problems you are experiencing, your values, changes you would like to see in your life, and goals in line with your values. We will typically spend the first few sessions exploring these topics and making a plan for therapy. I will ask you to keep track of what works and what doesn’t outside our sessions. We will check in to see how therapy is going along the way and change the plan as needed. If I believe that I don’t have the necessary expertise to help you with a problem, I will refer you to another provider.
I have a primary background in cognitive behavioral therapy, but I also use an integrative approach, meaning I often pull in other therapeutic techniques to complement our therapy. In cognitive behavioral therapy, we explore together how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact with the problems you are working on. You are the expert on your own experiences, and it can be helpful to consider different perspectives in times of change, times when we feel “stuck,” or when the ways we have been coping with our problems don’t work as well as we would like. I do not provide couples or family therapy, but a loved one can join a session if we agree that it would be helpful.
I can provide ADHD evaluations for adults. These typically take 4-6 sessions to complete. I cannot prescribe medications, but I can refer you to a prescriber once we complete our evaluation if it is appropriate. Please note that I do not have the final say in whether a prescriber chooses to prescribe you medications, but I can provide a written report or discuss the results of our evaluation with the prescriber with your permission. I can also provide behavioral skills therapy for ADHD.
I am happy to provide gender transition surgery letters for transgender and gender-diverse individuals. You do not need to engage in a full course of therapy to receive a letter. Typically, this can be completed in 1-2 sessions. I will ask you about yourself and factors that can impact surgery and recovery, including your gender identity experiences, your health, and your support system. If there are significant barriers that need to be addressed to help you get ready for surgery, or if you have other concerns that you would like help with, I will offer to meet with you for therapy.
I graduated from Washington State University with a PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2023. I completed an internship in Health Service Psychology at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans’ Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, and I also finished a two-year Clinical Health Psychology fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in 2025. I have provided general outpatient therapy in primary care and outpatient psychology clinics, and I have also specialized in care of gender diverse individuals at a transgender and intersex specialty care clinic. I am passionate about psychological research and have written articles and book chapters related to health psychology topics, LGBTQ health and wellbeing, and psychology care in primary care settings. I joined Associates in Behavioral Health in 2025.
I am currently out of network with all health plans. You may be able to utilize your insurance plan if there are out-of-network benefits. It is recommended that you contact your insurance company to confirm that psychological services are available to you under your specific plan, and to obtain important plan information such as expected co-payment amounts and deductibles if applicable.
