Please note: I am now entirely telehealth.
I utilize an integrative approach to therapy, meaning that I combine different theories together to best suit your individual needs (including client-centered, narrative, ACT, DBT, CBT, psychodynamic, and solution-focused). An interpersonal process approach connects these different techniques. I believe that if we can bring the problem into the room and experience it between us, we will have the best chance of working through it successfully. This does not apply to all problems, but our relationship will continue to be exceptionally important. Psychotherapy is a collaborative process in which we will work together to determine your goals and the best way to go about accomplishing them. Specifically, we will explore the barriers to changing your behavior, the function your current patterns of thinking/behavior serve, and ways to go about changing these patterns.
I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. From there, I went to college at Rice University in Houston, Texas where I received a B.A. in Psychology and Religious Studies in 2007. I then pursued a masters degree at San Francisco State University so that I could focus on helping divorcing couples/families, which has always been my passion. I graduated in 2009 with an M.A. in Developmental Psychology. I then returned to Oklahoma to pursue my doctorate. I earned an M.Ed. in Community Counseling (2013) and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology (2015) from the APA accredited University of Oklahoma. I completed my predoctoral internship at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I received my Psychologist license and began my private practice at Associates in Behavioral Health in 2015.
Because I have moved out of state, billing insurance has become more complicated and related more to your particular plan. Please email me and I will research your plan and tell you if I am in-network and what your co-pay would be.
